Covered by the Blood of Jesus!

Hi, nice to be back, although I would rather be speaking with you at the church.  But I pray God speaks to you through this subject which He has given to me to share with you.

At the cross our Lord Jesus died and he shed His blood for us, for our sins.  Formally animals were sacrificed by the Jewish people and the blood shed by the animals was accepted by God as payment for the persons sins.  By Jesus’s death we are forgiven once and for all, if we confess we are sinners and ask Him to be Lord of our lives for ever.  Through His death we now belong to Him.  He is our Lord and we become citizens of heaven, members of God’s family.

John 12:31-33 At the cross Jesus defeated satan.  Matthew 12:28,29 satan was bound by Jesus.  However, satan still has freedom on the earth although his power is greatly reduced.  In Matthew 4:8,9 satan offered Jesus ‘all the kingdoms of the world and their glory’ but now, after the cross, he does not have authority to do that.  The power that satan had is now broken and ‘destroyed’ 1 John 3:8 and Hebrews 2:14,15.  Aren’t these bible verses encouraging?  HALLELUJAH!  We have no need to fear satan!

Yet many believers do seem to fear satan and give him credit for things that go wrong in their lives.  Is it satan or God behind your problems?  “Every circumstance is a gift of God” Kevin Prosch.  We don’t need to have any fear in our lives because we know God is Lord of our lives.  Didn’t you give your life to Jesus?  Don’t you believe He can look after you?  I have been a born again believer for 37 years and God has been over every thing in my life so far.  If you can live without fear in your life you find it is incredibly liberating.  1 John 4:18. I say it again, is Jesus LORD of your life?

So, satan is defeated but he still has influence in the ‘world’ today.  The ‘world’ is against God and we see it all around us in philosophies, faiths, systems, and some governments.  In people’s opinions, goals, hopes, we find anti-God rebellious beliefs.  2 Corinthians 4:4 Paul calls satan ‘the god of this age (or world)’ meaning that he is a false god who encapsulates best what people believe.  We need to be wise and very careful in the things that we are drawn into in the world.  We are in the world but not of it.  We don’t belong here!  Paul said he would rather be in heaven but he knew to be in the world was where he could minister and serve with Christ, Philippians 1:21.

Our enemy will try and use the world to tempt us to sin but he can not attack us directly physically or mentally.  If he could Jesus would not be your Lord and we would all be in serious trouble.  No one would arrive at church because we would all be involved in accidents on the way.  And as soon as anyone was born again demons would attack their minds and we would all have mental problem and not be able to love and serve Christ with the ministries that He has given each one of us.  We are covered in the blood of Jesus and satan and his demons cannot touch us!!  Praise God almighty!  Here I am serving God in this wonderful country and children and adults are getting saved, children are getting healed, lives are being changed, desperate situations are not desperate anymore, and satan has not been able to stop me, not even a little bit!  When the Apostles were facing opposition they didn’t pray against satan, they prayed for boldness Acts4:24-31

Yes, we do get sick and face problems sometimes.  Personally, I had sciatica for several months in 2011.  But God is still Lord and seated on His throne.  He WILL use these situations in your life.  I have just recently heard the testimony of a woman who was very seriously ill with cancer.  But she says she is glad it happened because she found God and His presence in the depths of her need and that presence is better and more powerful than anything.  There is no pit too deep that God is not at the bottom of it, waiting to lift us up.

Ephesians 1:20,21 tells that Jesus has authority ‘far above’ all evil and that ‘all things are under His feet’ and that we are a part of Him now (His body) reigning with Him.  Amazing!  These verses also tell us that there are ‘principalities, power and might and dominion’ around us.  Ephesians 6:12 also tells us that there are ‘principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness and spiritual hosts of wickedness in the spiritual world’ and that we are not fighting against other humans.  So we must be wise and pray against these spiritual forces of evil because we have that authority in Christ.  We are not fighting against other humans but we should pray for them.

We are covered in the blood of Jesus which protects us and gives us authority to pray in the name of Jesus Christ against the evil we see in the world and around us.  Do not fear, be wise and pray with authority.  God bless you.
